Dianna J. Phillips Waite, 76, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 10, 2025.
Born on May 26, 1949, to her precious mother, Bobbye Jean Davis, Dianna lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. She graduated from Pearl High School in 1967 and married Charlie Phillips in 1969. During their 26 years of marriage, they built a loving home and raised two children who were their pride and joy. Though life took them on different paths, they remained connected through their shared love and deep devotion to their family.
Dianna spent her life wholeheartedly dedicated to caring for and loving her children and grandchildren—her greatest joy and purpose. Her love for her family was steadfast and unconditional. To everyone she met, she radiated warmth and acceptance, making friends feel like family with her hugs and her genuine heart. Her life was a living reflection of Christ’s love, always giving, always believing the best in others, and always leading with compassion.
A verse that beautifully captures the way Dianna lived her life is 1 Corinthians 16:14 – “Let all that you do be done in love.”
She is survived by her children David Phillips (Cassandra) and Trissi Wilkinson (Shayne); her brother Donnie Davis (Leesa); and her beloved grandchildren who were truly her heart—Katie Wilkinson, Braysen Phillips, Justin Wilkinson, Jake Phillips, and Charlie Phillips.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother Myrtle Broach, her parents Bobbye Jean and Elmo Davis, her brother David McCollum, and her husband Terry Waite.
Dianna found joy in loving others well—whether it was through a handwritten note, a warm meal, or a heartfelt hug. Her kindness left an imprint on every soul she touched.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, from 5:00–7:00 p.m., and Friday, November 14, from 10:00–11:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of her life at 11:00 a.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Burial will immediately follow at Piney Grove Cemetery in Polkville.
Dianna loved without limits, saw the best in everyone, and lived each day as a shining example of what it means to love like Jesus. Her legacy of unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
