Diane Marie Carroll, born on November 30, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, left this world peacefully on July 16, 2025, in Morton, Mississippi. Diane's vibrant spirit and loving nature touched the hearts of all who knew her. A devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, she embodied the warmth and generosity that made her truly special.
Diane dedicated her life to nurturing her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Their laughter and joy were her greatest treasures, and she relished in every moment spent with them. Joshua Jordan and his wife, Kewanna, Hannah Tatum and her husband, Connor, Alex Blair and her husband, Isiac, and Madison Vaughn all brought immense pride and happiness into her life, shining brightly under her loving guidance. Furthermore, her six great-grandchildren were a continual reminder of the love that blossomed through her family.
A friendly and loving presence, Diane never met a stranger. Her open heart and kindness radiated in every interaction, leaving lasting impressions on everyone she encountered. She found immense fulfillment in her church and cherished her church family dearly, gathering strength and comfort from her shared faith and friendships.
Diane is survived by her significant other, Byron Ladd, children, Wendy Jordan and her husband, Kevin, and Marsha Vaughn; two sisters, Debra Cumberland and her husband, Carl, and Jane Campbell; a nephew, Buddy Campbell; and nieces, Angela Campbell, Lisa Carroll, and Candy Robinson. These relationships, along with Diane's enduring legacy of love, compassion, and faith, will forever remain in the hearts of those who were privileged to know her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Marie Carroll; her son, Austin Ladd; and her brother, Andrew Johnson III. Their memories and love will be forever cherished as Diane's spirit continues to live on through those she touched.
Diane's visitation will be held on July 18, 2025, at Eureka Baptist Church in Lena, Mississippi, beginning at 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Diane will then be laid to rest at the church cemetery following the burial service at 3:00 PM. As we gather to celebrate her life, we will remember her unwavering love, her infectious spirit, and her unyielding devotion to family and community. Diane Marie Carroll will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives were graced by her presence.
