Debbie Shaw

Debbie Shaw, born on October 6, 1961, in Clinton, Mississippi, passed away at home on September 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose heart was as expansive as her spirit.

In her professional life, Debbie worked in billing at Riveroaks Hospital, where she built lasting relationships with her colleagues and always brought a smile to those around her. Her love for people shone through in all aspects of her life. Debbie had an innate ability to connect with others, spreading positivity and joy wherever she went.

Debbie’s family was her world. She is survived by her two sons, Justin Shaw of Pelahatchie and Casey Shaw of Pearl, as well as her loving mother, Betty Bailey Wilson. She leaves behind  her two beautiful grandchildren, Eric and Ethan Shaw; sister, Cindy Barlow and a host of friends who will remember her fondly.

Debbie adored her grandchildren, who were truly the apples of her eye. She took great joy in being a grandmother, creating precious moments that will be treasured by her family for years to come.

An avid writer, Debbie enjoyed expressing herself through poetry, capturing her thoughts and feelings in a way that resonated deeply with those fortunate enough to read her work. Her creativity was a reflection of her vibrant personality, and her words often inspired and comforted others.

While we celebrate Debbie’s life, we also remember those who have preceded her in death: her beloved husband and the love of her life, Charles Carlton Shaw; her father, Thomas Wilson; and her son, Eric Shaw. Their memories will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A visitation will be held in Debbie's honor on September 10, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Barefoot Springs Baptist Church, located at 306 Barefoot Springs Rd, Pelahatchie, MS. This will be followed by a graveside service at Barefoot Springs Baptist Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to pay their respects from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Debbie Shaw, we will share stories, laughter, and tears, honoring a woman whose light touched so many lives. She will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
