David Keith Stribling, age 73, a native of Pearl, Mississippi, passed peacefully at his home on January 15, 2026. David is now in the presence of his Lord.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. He attended Pearl High School and graduated from Council McCluer in 1970.
He retired from AT&T after 32 years of service. He made many friends and had many fond memories of them.
David was an avid collector of classic guitars, street rods, and motorcycles. He loved animals especially Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, and horses. He enjoyed helping other street rod enthusiast build their cars. He specialized in fabrication and electrical wiring.
David loved the Lord. He was a member of Truitt Memorial Baptist Church in Pearl, Mississippi for many years where he served in many roles, including Chairman of the Deacons, Sunday School teacher, and Chairman of Building and Grounds. His love was working with the youth. He served as their teacher and enjoyed taking them on mission trips and to youth camps. For many years the church partnered with The Proclaimers group taking the youth to Montana, Utah, Idaho, and Nevada on mission trips. For the past several years, he was a member of First Baptist Fannin where he was a member of the Connections Sunday School Class.
He never met a stranger and loved telling tales of his family’s history, mostly about his dad, uncles, and grandfathers from Neshoba County.
David is survived by his wife, Cheri Stribling, his children, Angela Stribling of Kent, Washington, Lauren Morrow (Jason) of Cartersville, Georgia, Lyndsey Robinson (Victor) of Brandon, Mississippi, Robert Devin Stribling (Jennifer) of Pearl, Mississippi, his sister, Barbara White (Andy) of Watkinsville, Georgia, his sister-in-law, Linda Stribling of Brandon, Mississippi, his brother-in-law, Keith Brents (Cherie) of Cleveland, Arkansas, his brother-in-law, Kenneth Brents (Kathy) of Cleveland, Arkansas, his sister-in-law Sande Brents of Little Rock, Arkansas and his grandchildren Ashlynn Morrow, Kellis Morrow, Jason Paul Morrow, Emmalee Morrow, Carson Robinson, Brooklynn Robinson, Georgia Stribling, and Waylon Stribling, who he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Carson Stribling and Sarah Hatcher Stribling, his brother, Robert (Bobby) Stribling, and his precious granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace (Eliza) Morrow.
Visitation will take place Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home, Brandon, Mississippi. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home, Brandon, Mississippi. A graveside
service will be held at First Baptist Fannin Church Cemetery 101 Church Road, Brandon, Mississippi.
