David Alton Spivey

David Alton Spivey, age 59, a lifelong resident of Forest died May 24, 2025, following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12pm Friday, May 30, 2025, from the chapel of the OTT & LEE Funeral Home in Forest. Visitation will be held from 10am til the service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Clark Cemetery.

David was born on December 13, 1965, in New Orleans, LA to his parents, Mary Frances Spivey and Alton Spivey. He grew up in the Pea Ridge community north of Forest. He was a member of the Harperville Baptist Church. David enjoyed being with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary F. Spivey, and his grandparents, David Fletcher and K.D. Oliphant, Clifford and Velma Spivey; aunt and uncle Richard and Janelle May, and cousin, Shondra May.

Survivors include his father, Alton Spivey; sister, Mary “Liz” Gaddis (Greg) of Gulfport, MS. He is also survived by niece and nephew; Katie Hopper and Sam Hopper (Kristen) and several great nieces and nephews, several aunts, and cousins.

Pallbearers are David Hankins, Sam Hopper, Greg Gaddis, Jason Spivey, Mike Spivey, Mitch Spivey, and Tim May.
