Darla Shoemaker

Mrs. Darla K. Shoemaker, age 59, a resident of the Clifton community, passed away on, Friday 13, 2023 in Jackson, MS. Born on March 24, 1963, to J.R. and Bonnie J. Hall Able. Darla graduated from Sebastopol High School, while in school, she was a cheerleader, and won the school spirit award. After high school Darla married and started her family: she enjoyed helping people, working with and in her flower beds; but her greatest love was her family, especially her grandkids, and will be missed by all that loved and knew her.

Darla is preceded in death by her parents, J.R. and Bonnie Able; sister, Betty Mowdy, brother, Sheldon Able.

Survived by husband, Larry Shoemaker, children, Dewayne (Heather) Shoemaker, Joshua (Brittany) Shoemaker, Tyler Shoemaker, Hayden Shoemaker, and Brantley Shoemaker; mother-n-law, Bobbie Shoemaker; sister, Kathy (Jimmy) Robinson, brothers, Ricky Able, Keith (Kelly) Able; five grandkids, alone with a host of other family and friends.

Visitation for Darla will be, 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, January 16, 2023, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest, MS, then on Tuesday, from 9:00am until 10:50 am at Clifton Baptist Church, with the Funeral Service following at 11:00am at the church, Bro. Andy Boles officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
