Service: 11 am Saturday, May 22, 2010 in the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.

Dalton Ventonburg Johnson, 71, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation will be 5-9pm Friday, May 21, 2010 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with services at 11 am Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Private Graveside services will be in Morton City Cemetery.

And the Lord said unto him. Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant. Welcome Home.

Mr. Johnson was born to Bessie Alberta Woods Johnson and Jodie William Johnson on
September 30, 1938 in Marydell, MS. He graduated Edinburg High School, attended ECJC and University of Tennessee Medical School. He taught Cytology at UMC and he was a registered Cyto Technologist and Histo Technologist. Dalton was the founding father of the Southern Association of Cyto Technologist. He was a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative with 3M Pharmaceuticals from 1965 – 1997.

After his retirement from 3M he was a Realtor for Charlotte Smith Real estate until his illness forced his retirement.

Dalton enjoyed life and never met a stranger.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his life companion of 43 years, Millard E. Frazier of Clinton; one sister, V. Jean Johnson of Hollywood, FL and one brother, Jodie Johnson, Jr of Miami, FL and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials maybe made to the American Cancer Society.
