TSgt Connie Lee Anderson USAF Ret, 85, was called home by his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in Brandon, Mississippi.
The son of Cecil Anderson and Bertie Lee DeWitt Anderson, Connie was born in Coffeeville, Alabama on March 24, 1940. Connie spent much of his childhood in Coffeeville, Alabama before joining the Air Force. He married Bonnie Marie Hale on August 29th, 1964.
During his 22 years of service in the United States Air Force, Connie worked in the motor pool, job control and as a jet engine mechanic. In 1979 the USAF moved him and his family to Anchorage, AK where he became involved in the bus ministry at The Anchorage Baptist Temple. Upon retirement from the military, Connie took a position at the Commissary where he worked until he retired in 2006. In 2006 Connie and Bonnie moved to Brandon, MS to be near their son who had been diagnosed with cancer.
As a young man Connie worked on the family farm picking cotton and beans. He enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers and fishing.
Connie was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Marie Anderson; two sons, William Lowrey Anderson and Martin Shane Anderson; and his parents, Cecil and Bertie Anderson.
Connie is survived by his four daughters, Mary Vaught (Greg), Connie Turner (Stewart), Pamela Reynolds (Jeremy) and Jessica Martin (Stacy); his eleven grandchildren: Morgan Brittnie Vaught, Debbra Sue Vaught, Zackery Lee Downs Vaught (Madison Leigh), William Lowery Anderson II, Michael Allen Turner (Brittany Amelia), Benjamin Ray Reynolds (Moriah Victoria), Daniel Lee Reynolds (Hannah Lauren), Ashleigh Marie Sullivan (Keaton Eugene), Carol Elizabeth Martin, Taylor Renee Martin, and William Bradley Martin; and seventeen great grandchildren: Aleja, David, Carson, Kinlee, Eva, Peyton, Brookelyn, Elliana, Stewart, Quinton, Harper, Mercy, Mateo, December, Samuel, Logan and Baby Charlotte.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 12pm-1pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A Graveside Memorial Service will be at 1:30pm on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Fannin Cemetery in Brandon, MS.
