Clarence Lamar Twiner
Clarence Lamar Twiner, 79, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 9:00am until the 11:00am funeral service at Brandon Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.
Lamar was born November 23, 1943, to Clarence Coker Twiner and Opal Irine Robinson Twiner in Yazoo County, Mississippi. He graduated from Yazoo City High School and retired from ABF Freight Systems. Lamar was in the trucking industry for over 30 years.
In his Christian faith Lamar has gone on numerous mission trips to Nicaragua, Wyoming, New Orleans to name a few. Lamar loved going to church and was a member of Brandon Baptist Church.
He loved to run heavy equipment, gardening and most important he loved witnessing to ALL about Jesus.
Survivors include his loving and caring wife of 26 years, Gail McCurdy Ivy Twiner; four sons, Chris (Kallee) Twiner, Stacey (Dianne) Twiner, Tracey (Hope) Ivy, and Jason (Jenna) Ivy; thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; sister, Linda Twiner Bankston; and brothers, Lloyd Everett (Jane) Twiner and Ricky Dale (Ann) Twiner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Coker Twiner and Opal Irine Twiner, and a brother, Johnny Eugene Twiner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Lamar’s memory to Brandon Baptist Church, Building Fund.
