Chester Gene Holman, a distinguished figure in the automotive industry with a remarkable career spanning over 50 years, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Jackson, Mississippi. Born on January 28, 1946, in Idaho, Chester's early life laid the foundation for a robust future marked by both personal and professional achievements.
A devoted family man, Chester leaves behind his loving wife, Renee Holman. He is also survived by his children: John Holman, David Sean Crabb, Damon Lacomb (Sabrina), Sheree Blakeney (Corey Thomas), Darla Bramley (Michael), David Scott Holman (Faith), and C.O. Holman. Chet is also survived by his brothers, Butch Holman and Timothy Holman both of Texas. Throughout his life, Chester exemplified commitment and love towards his family, nurturing strong relationships that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Chester was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Obie Holman, his mother, Edith Ann Loudenslager Holman, and his sisters, Darlene Holman and Toni Holman. He also mourned the loss of his grandsons, Preston Garrett and Brandon Woodward, whose absence he felt deeply.
In addition to his professional achievements, Chester proudly served in the United States Army, a commitment that demonstrated his sense of duty and honor. His educational background included an associate's degree, which complemented his extensive experience in the automotive field, where he made significant contributions throughout his career.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on December 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ott & Lee Funeral Homes in Brandon, Mississippi. A funeral service will be held the following day, December 6, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM, followed by a burial at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, Mississippi, at 3:00 PM.
