Charles Jerome “Jerry” Gildon, 62, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 9, 2015.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 11 am to 1 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Conerstone Church, 1950 Hwy 80 E., Pearl, MS 39208. Burial will follow in Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery, Brandon, MS.
Jerry was born on August 17, 1952 in Columbus, Mississippi to the late Charles Murphy Gildon and Atlas Alene Pridmore Gildon. He owned and operated Gildon Hydraulics in Pearl, MS. He was a member of Conerstone Church in Pearl. Jerry was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and baseball and anything to do with working with his hands.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Charles Murphy Gildon and infant son, John Preston Gildon.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, TerreTaylor Gildon of Brandon, MS; his mother, Atlas Boyer of Columbus, MS; daughters, Myndall (Dennis) Delcamp of Leeds, AL, and Alyson (Adam) Irby of Richland, MS, and son, Taylor Gildon of Brandon, MS; a brother, Glenn (Lisa) Gildon of Fayetteville, NC; and four grandchildren, Zayne Irby, Wyatt Irby, Ella Delcamp, and Elijah Delcamp.
