Charles Allen Phipps (Charlie), a proud veteran and beloved family man, passed away on October 21, 2025, at his home in Brandon, MS. He was married to his devoted wife, Pris Phipps with whom he shared 42 years of love and partnership.

Charlie served honorably in the United States Army, embodying dedication and patriotism throughout his life. He cherished the lifelong bonds he formed with his fellow soldiers, always speaking with pride and affection about the brave men he served alongside.

His military honors included: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 Device, Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/silver star; Expert Infantryman Badge, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross w/ 1st Oak leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Palm unit citation. 3O/S bars air medal w/ 3rd oak leaf cluster; air meal w/2nd V Device, Meritorious Unit Commendation; Bronze Star Medal w/ 3rd Oak Leaf Cluster; Senior Army Aviator Badge; Senior Parachute Badge; Good Conduct Medal; Air Medal w/4-31st Oak Leaf Cluster

He is survived by his children, Chuck Phipps (Kelly), Julie Oliver (Bill), and Brad Sewall (Amy). Also, survived by his sister Thelma Beesley, his Grandchildren Brad Meyers (Kelly), Amy Young (Dustin), Makenzie Oliver, Chelsa Tendall, Gabriel Phipps, Alex Phipps, Jamie Phipps, and Ava Phipps. He was preceded in death by his daughter Margo Meyers (Scott), whose memory he cherished deeply.

He shared a special and enduring bond with his grandson Zac Sewall. Their relationship was a source of great joy and comfort to Charlie, especially in his later years.

In his final years, Charlie faced the difficult journey of dementia with strength. Through it all, his unwavering faith in the Lord remained a source of comfort and peace. As he now rests, his family finds solace in knowing he is reunited with his beloved sisters, brother, and mother—held in eternal grace and surrounded by love with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be Monday, October 27, 2025, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Phipps will be laid to rest in Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon following the funeral service.
