Charles Booker

Charles Lee Booker, age 88, of Brandon, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 30, 2018 at 12:00pm from the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon. Visitation will be 10:00am till 11:45am. A graveside service will follow at 3:00pm at Meridian Memorial Gardens, Meridian, MS.

Charles was born January 28, 1930 in Natchez, MS to the late Lon Edward Booker, Sr. and Marvel A. Graves Booker. He was a member of Crossgates Baptist Church and retired from Shell Oil Company.

He was preceded in death by two children, Michael Dwayne Booker and Lee Todd Booker; sister, Marilyn Fay Booker.

Charles is survived by his wife, Margie Carol Booker of Brandon; children, Charles Lee Booker, Jr. (Claudette) of San Antonio, TX, Forest Andrew Booker (Carol) of Santa Fe, NM, and Wendy Charlene Booker of Westover, AL; siblings, Lon Edward Booker, Jr. of Merigold, MS, Earl Everett Booker of Perkinston, MS, and Mary Louise Booker Herring of Spring, TX; 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
