Carol Lynn Pinter passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. She faced her illness with remarkable strength, grace, and resilience—qualities that defined her life. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 8th from 2-4pm with a funeral service following at 4 in the Ott and Lee Chapel. Burial will take place at Damascus Cemetery.
Carol lived life to the fullest, embracing each day with laughter, love, and an unwavering dedication to her family. She was passionate about her role as a mother and grandmother, and her greatest joy came from spending time with those she loved most.
She is survived by her children: Micheal and Tiffany Reid of Vicksburg, MS; Amber and Jeremy Graham of Dixie, MS; Curtis and Britney Pinter of Philadelphia, MS. Carol was a proud and loving grandmother to ten grandchildren: Layla Pinter, Chloe Graham, Noah Pinter, Silas Reid, Trenton Pinter, Eli Pinter, Dawson Pinter, Zayden Pinter, Brody Pinter, and Grayson Fisher Graham. She is also survived by her brothers: Roland Reid Jr. and his wife Angie; Jerry Reid and his wife Sherry. Her nephew Joseph Reid and many beloved cousins also survive her, all of whom held a special place in Carol’s heart. Carol was preceded in death by her son, James “Tootie” Pinter; her parents, Roland and Martha Nell Reid; and her sister, Melissa Reid.
Carol will be remembered for her boundless love, generous heart, and unshakable spirit. She brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met, and her legacy lives on in the family she nurtured and the lives she touched.
Carol Lynn Pinter will be deeply missed and forever loved. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
