Carlene B. Cook

Carlene B. Cook, born on September 7, 1937, entered into eternal rest on June 20, 2025. A devoted mother and grandmother, Carlene touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, kindness and unwavering spirit. She is survived her three children, Ann Stewart and husband Billy, Tommy Cook and his wife Josephine, and John Cook and his wife Stephanie. Carlene also cherished the joy of being a grandmother to four grandchildren and a great-grandmother to five great grandchildren, whose lives she enriched through her love and wisdom.

Carlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Jr. Cook, and her parents, Algiers and L. C. Bishop. She will also be remembered fondly by her siblings who have passed: W. E. Bishop, Wayne Bishop, Colleen Walker, Lucille Shoemaker, and Inez Purvis.

A viewing will take place on June 23, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes located at 3555 US-80 in Morton, Mississippi. This will be followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, concluding with a burial at Morton Memorial Gardens at 1:30 PM.

Carlene's legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends, as they celebrate the meaningful impact she had in their lives. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
