Bro. Bobby Carl Waggoner, affectionately known as Bro. Bobby, Bobby Carl, Uncle Bobby, Dad and most importantly Pappy, has passed away at the age of 82 in Brandon, MS on September 30, 2023. Born on June 19, 1941, in Morton, MS to Carl Monroe and Stella Mae Waggoner, he leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and service.

Bro. Bobby's contributions to his community and the church are immeasurable. He dedicated over 64 years of his life to pastoring several churches throughout Mississippi with unwavering commitment and compassion. His profound impact on the lives of congregants will be remembered for generations to come. 

Having graduated from the esteemed New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, Bro. Bobby possessed a deep understanding of theology and used his knowledge to inspire and guide others on their spiritual journeys. His wisdom and faith were instrumental in uplifting countless souls during their times of need.

In addition to his pastoral work, Bro. Bobby served as the Director of Missions in Attala County for 18 years until his retirement in 2010. 

Throughout his life, Mr. Bobby cherished his family and friends who provided him with unwavering support and love. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 61 years, Brenda Waggoner, their children Kim W. Saggus (Paul), Kyle Waggoner (Paige), Kerry Waggoner (Angie), as well as his sister Virginia Thompson (Junior), sister Laverne McMahan (Red), grandchildren Molly Anderson (Brady), Clay Saggus, Dru Wilson (Logan), Stephen Waggoner, and great-grandchildren Sutton Anderson, Wesson Anderson, and Callie Anderson.  Bro. Bobby also leaves behind treasured memories for his extended family members including nieces and nephews, Brent Thompson (Sonya), Kristi Chambley, and Mark Pilgrim, and sister-in-law Jean Pilgrim. He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, Leon and Opal Pilgrim, brother-in-law, Barron Pilgrim, and nephew, Mike Thompson.

Bro. Bobby's impact extended far beyond his immediate circle; he touched the lives of countless individuals with his gentle demeanor, kind heart, and unwavering faith. His dedication to serving others will forever serve as an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM with visitation starting at 10:00 AM at the same location. Following the funeral service, a graveside service will be held at Lakeland Place Memorial Park in Brandon at 12:00 PM.

Bro. Bobby Carl Waggoner has left an indelible mark on this world through his unwavering faith and dedication to serving others. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in our hearts. May we carry forward his legacy of love and compassion as we celebrate the life of this remarkable man.
