Brenda Galyean Robertson, born on September 20, 1942, in Manila, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Visitation will be held on Thurs. Feb. 12, 2026 from 1pm-3pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 3pm on Thurs. Feb. 12, 2026 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James A. Robertson, Sr.; her father, Eugene Galyean; and her mother, Alma Samples Galyean.
Brenda was a devoted Christian woman whose faith guided every part of her life. She loved the Lord deeply and never missed an opportunity to speak the word of Jesus to everyone she encountered.
Brenda was a longtime and devoted employee of Entergy, where she served as a project manager for 26 years. She was widely respected for her dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic, and she found great joy and fulfillment in her career and the relationships she built there. After retiring, Brenda and James fulfilled a lifelong dream by making their home in Long Beach, Mississippi, where they embraced coastal life and the happiness it brought them.
Above all else, Brenda treasured her family. She doted on her grandchildren and especially cherished the time spent with each of them, creating memories filled with love, laughter, and quiet moments that will be held close forever.
She is survived by her children, Vicki Robertson and her partner, Darren Warren, and James A. “Jimmy” Robertson, Jr. and his wife, Stacie Robertson; her grandchildren, Lauren Hegwood and her husband, Toby Hegwood, Erin Alewine and her husband, Brad Alewine, and Brett Robertson; her great-grandchildren, Claire Hegwood, Caroline Hegwood, and Audrey Kate Alewine; her sister, Molly Henderson and her husband, Steve Henderson; her brother, Michael “Butch” Galyean and his wife, Sue Galyean; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Brenda’s legacy of faith, love, devotion, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to French Camp, an organization that Brenda and James supported faithfully for many years.
