Bonita Lee Richardson

Bonita Lee Richardson was born on March 7, 1949, in Bloomington, Minnesota. She lived a full life marked by kindness and dedication, passing away peacefully on May 23, 2026, in Brandon, Mississippi.

Bonita worked as a Loan Officer at Community Bank before retiring. She truly enjoyed her work, especially the chance to connect with her customers and coworkers. Her work was more than just a job; it was part of who she was—a friendly and caring person who valued relationships.

She had a deep love for her family, particularly her grandchildren, who brought great joy to her life. Bonita also loved to sew and cook, activities that showed her creative spirit and her desire to care for others in simple, meaningful ways.

Bonita is survived by her daughters: Shanna Barnett, married to Tommy; Tanya Morales, married to Spencer; and Nicole Kyzer, married to Joshua. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren: Kassie Paddock, Kayla McNeer, Kolby McNeer, Brady Barnett, Breanna Barnett, Tyler Brewster, Jayd Morales, Daniel Kyzer, Wesley Kyzer, Comer Kyzer, Lucy Kyzer, Paisley Kyzer, and Meadow Kyzer; and 16 great grandchildren. Their presence in her life was a source of happiness and pride.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William C. Dodge, Sr. and Thelma Angela Olson Dodge, and her brothers, William C. Dodge, Jr. and Richard Dodge.

Family and friends will gather to honor Bonita's life with a visitation on May 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi, located at 1360 W Government St. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at Lakeland Place Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m.

Bonita Lee Richardson will be remembered simply and warmly, as a caring person who valued family, friendships, and the joys found in everyday life. Her legacy lives on in those she loved and in the kindness she shared with everyone she met.
