Billy Millard Watson, age 79, a resident of Pelahatchie, MS passed away on, December 17, 2021, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Rehobeth Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held also on Tuesday from 12:00-2:00 PM at the church.

Billy was born on December 20, 1941, in Pelahatchie, MS to Jessie Watson and Grace Shedd Watson. He was married to Barbara Sue Thompson Watson. He retired from Eaton Corp after 43 years.  He served as Alderman of Ward 4, Pelahatchie for 9-1/2 years. He served in the United States Air Force for 6 years.  He is a member of the American Legion. He is a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church.  He was an avid outdoorsman.  He had a love for hunting, bass fishing and many other sports. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and JW Watson, his son, Kenneth Watson, his great granddaughter, Kadience Watson, his son-in-law, Tony Compton, and his brother, Joe Watson.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara Sue Watson; children, Keith (Pam) Watson, Terrie Compton, and John David (Laurie) Watson; his sister, Sue Winstead; brother, Tony Watson; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.  Billy was known as “Paw” to his 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren of whom he adored.
