Bettye Joyce Donald

Bettye Joyce Donald, a longtime resident of Pearl, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Brandon, Mississippi, surrounded by her family at the age of 89.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Flowood Baptist Church from 12:00 to 1:30 pm with the funeral service beginning at 1:30. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.

Mrs. Donald was born on April 3, 1936, in Scott County, Mississippi, to Elbert Morris Robinson and Lona Mae Bates Robinson. She later moved to Pearl, where she spent most of her life, caring for her family and her home. She was a member of Flowood Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas W. Donald; daughter, Joyce Donald; son, Ricky Donald; grandson, Brian Donald; and her parents, Elbert and Lona Robinson.

Survivors include her children, Jerry Donald (DeeDee), Brenda Biard (Tim), Randy Donald (Sharon), Renee Busby (Bill), and daughter-in-law, Debbie; brother, Hugh Dorsey Robinson; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild on the way.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Donald’s memory to the Flowood Baptist Church Building Fund.
