Betty Wade

Mrs. Betty Munn Wade, age 95, a resident of the Leesburg Community passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Visitation will be held 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and on Friday from 11:30am-1:00 pm at the funeral home.  Chapel service will be held at 1:00pm from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with Bro. Dennis Ellingburg and Bro. Don Lum officiating.  Graveside service will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.  Betty spent her life loving her family and her Lord dearly, and her family invites you to mourn her passing and celebrate her homecoming.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Bessie M. “Betty” Wade went to be with her Lord and her husband on July 26, 2022, after a long life of love, happiness, and family.  Born in Leesburg, Mississippi, on September 16, 1926, to Virgil and Florence Munn, Betty was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and servant.  Known to family and friends as a kind, graceful woman, Betty was a beloved member of the Leesburg community and her church, Line Prairie, where she served the Lord for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; son, Barry; parents, Virgil and Florence Munn; brothers, V.N. Munn and Harvey C. Munn; sisters, Ruth Measels, LaVerne Polk and Christine Thompson.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri Ellingburg (Eddie) of Leesburg; granddaughters, Michele Dees (Brad) and Mandi Townsend (Danny); grandsons, Dennis Ellingburg (Kristy) and Brett Wade (Shawn Marie); 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ann Risher and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Noah Ellingburg, Ethan Ellingburg, Tyler Johns, Robby Powell, Mark Polk and Dennis Morgan.  Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
