Betty Jean Means

Betty Jean Means, 87, passed away on Tues. March 31, 2026 at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. April 3, 2026 from 12pm-2pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Fri. April 3, 2026 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Mrs. Means was born in Watervalley, MS on Oct. 24, 1938 to the late Elcue Leslie Morgan Sr. and Hattie Lee Black Morgan.

She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Jane Ashley (Ed), Mary Lee Leonberger (Billy), Cheryl Joan Morgan and her brothers, Leslie Morgan Jr. (Grace) and Jackie Lynn Morgan. Mrs. Means is also preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Means; son, Billy Oren Gilmer Jr. and her daughter, Teresa Denise Hood.
