Betty Howard

Mrs. Betty Holmes Howard, 87, passed away on Tues. May 24, 2022 at her daughter's home in Flowood, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. May 27, 2022 from 9:30am-10:30am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Graveside Services will follow at 11am on Fri. May 27, 2022 at Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.

Mrs. Howard was born on Feb. 17, 1935 in New Hebron, MS to the late Buford Holmes and Eliza Fletcher Holmes.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Howard Purvis (Lee); two sons, John D. Howard Jr. (Sho) and Lance B. Howard (Edie); three grandchildren, Ashley M. Wood (Matt), Lindsey M. Friel (Chris) and Lee J. Purvis Jr.; three great grandchildren, Lilee Strickland, Reese Wood, Rivers Wood and her sister, Bertha Holmes Cliburn. Mrs. Howard is also preceded in death by her husband, John D. Howard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brandon First United Methodist Church at 205 Mary Ann Dr. Brandon, MS 39042.
