Arthur Register

March 14, 1943 — July 24, 2015

Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Register, were conducted on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 10:00 am from the Chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS with the Rev. Earl Clark officiating the service. Interment followed the service at the Morton Memorial Gardens with the Masonic rites given.

Visitation was Sunday evening, July 26, 2015 from 5:00 pm, until 8:00 pm at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS.

Arthur Register, a resident of the Morton / Hillsboro, MS community was born in Scott County to his parents, Noel Marshal "Tip" Register and Climmie Mae "Stephens" Register on March 14, 1943 and passed away at the St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, MS on Friday, July 24, 2015 at the age of 72.

Arthur worked for B. C. Rogers and the Feed Mill in Morton for many years and then became a certified officer with the Mississippi State Hospital as a Constable with the rank of Sargent from 1989 until 2008, when he retired from the State Hospital. He also was a member of the Army National Guard and was a member of the Morton Masonic Lodge #254 and was a Master Mason 32nd degree.

He is preceded in death by his father, Noel Marshal "Tip" Register; mother, Climmie Mae "Stephens" Register; brothers, John Register, Jessie Register, Willie B. Register, Lamar Register, George Register and Jeff Register.

Arthur is survived by one sister, Stella Mae Walker of Raleigh, MS; one brother, Luther Register of Morton, MS; several nephews, Donnie (Darlene) Register of Morton, Derrell Register, Ronnie Register, Russell Register, Herbert Register, Jeffrey Register, David Walker; niece, Shelia Cini; and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.

Pallbearers were Donnie Register, Brian Register, Donnie Register III, Billy McCory, J. T. Varner III and Jeffrey Register.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS.
