Armand Anthony Lombardo, Jr., 70, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born on June 4, 1956, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to Armand Anthony Lombardo, Sr. and Josephine Wiater Lombardo, and grew up in the Pittsburgh area.
Armand attended Serra Catholic High School and went on to attend the University of Southern Mississippi where he met his wife, Janet. He later moved back to Pennsylvania and graduated from Thiel College.
The Lord called Armand to surrender his life to serve the people of Mexico, where he founded and directed the Mexico Outreach Center. He led many missionary teams over the years as they shared the love of Christ and ministered to the people of Parras, Mexico. He was also a devoted member and Deacon of Crossgates Baptist Church.
While his ministry was a huge part of his life, Armand's greatest joy was his family. He adored his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Muse Lombardo; his children, Rachel Lombardo Garrison and husband Brett, Blaine Lombardo and wife Kaiden, and Laura Lombardo Brownlee and husband Brent; and his grandchildren, Anthony Lombardo, Avery Lombardo, Coco Brownlee, Everly Brownlee, Banner Brownlee, and Valley Garrison, along with a seventh grandchild, Ledger Lombardo, who is due in December.
He is also survived by his siblings, Greg Lombardo, Valerie Wash, and Jay Lombardo.
In addition to his love for his family and ministry, Armand found joy in the simple things. He loved tending to his chickens, gardening, building his model train platform, college football, and, of course, good food. These everyday passions, along with his quick wit and unwavering faith, are among the many things his family and friends will always remember about him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Armand Anthony Lombardo, Sr. and Josephine Wiater Lombardo, and his stepmother, Carole Lombardo.
His Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon. Visitation will be from 12-1:45 pm followed by the funeral service at 2 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mexico Outreach Center, a ministry that was so deeply meaningful to him.
Armand’s faith was not simply something he believed, it was something he lived. Through his ministry and relationships, he touched countless individuals whose lives are forever marked by his faith and God’s extraordinary love. Although he will be deeply missed, the character of his life’s work will continue to live on through his family and all who knew and loved him.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
