Ann Risher Johnson, age 74, a resident of the Homewood community, died Thursday, November 14, 2019.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the chapel of the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with Rev. Milton Koon officiating. Visitation will be held from 11am until the service time at 1 at the funeral home. Graveside services will not be held, the family will remain to visit with friends. The final resting place is in the Homewood Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was born on Monday, April 2, 1945, in Morton, MS to her parents, Henry Risher and Evelyn Moorehead Risher. She had lived in this area all her life. She retired from the office of the U.S. Forest Service (USDA) in 2011. She was a member of the Homewood United Methodist Church. She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Cheryl Marler, and brothers, John Risher and Pete Risher.
Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Kenneth Johnson, 2 daughters, Christa Boykin Powell and Carrie Lea Rogers (Trey) all of Forest. 3 sisters, Ruth Weems, Gaynell Countryman both of Forest, Pam Pope (Randy) of Cash, 2 brothers, Henry “Bubba” Risher (Billie Faye) of Pulaski and Larry Risher of Forest. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren; Chandler Powell, Payton Rogers, and Alana Rogers.
Pallbearers are Chandler Powell, Payton Rogers, Lynn Risher, Alan Powell, Ronnie Risher, and Trey Rogers.
