Alice Otense Phillips Frazier

Alice Otense Frazier Born: Polkville, Mississippi Resided: Pulaski, Mississippi.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alice Otense Frazier, who departed this life peacefully. Alice was born in Polkville, Mississippi, and spent her years in Pulaski, Mississippi, where she was a beloved member of the community.

Alice was the cherished daughter of the late Collie Phillips and Effie Belle Gill, whose love and guidance shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Burnnie Leroy Frazier, with whom she shared many wonderful years.

Alice is also preceded in death by her daughter, Clarissa Tagert (surviving husband Bobby Tagert), and her brothers, James Ray Phillips (wife Doris Phillips), Russell Phillips (wife Nellie Verle Phillips), and Dale Phillips (surviving wife Linda Phillips). She is survived by her son, Michael Frazier (wife Stacey Frazier), and her siblings Wendell Phillips (wife Mary Phillips), Joyce Carr (husband Willie Carr), and Faye Myers (late husband CT Myers). 

Alice was a devoted grandmother to Deanna McCurdy (husband Adam McCurdy), Joshua Frazier, and Carlie Dipuma (husband Dustin Dipuma), and a proud great-grandmother to Avry McCurdy, Carson McCurdy, and Maddox Dipuma, who brought her endless joy and pride.

Alice’s vision of family was the pinnacle of her legacy of love, kindness, and strength. She will be remembered for her warm heart, deep faith, and unwavering support for her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Services to honor Alice’s life will be held at the Morton Church of God: 

Viewing- Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, 5pm-8pm,. 

Funeral- Thursday, August 29th, 2024, Family 10am-10:30am, Public 10:30am - 11:20am, Service 11:30am, Morton Church of God 431 Old HWY 13 S, Morton, MS 39117.    Graveside service to follow at Polkville First Baptist Cemetery.
