Alberta Manton Franklin, 91, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Regency Hospital in Jackson, MS.  Visitation is 5 – 7  pm Monday, July 5, 2010 and Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.  Funeral Services are 1 pm Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from  the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.  Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS.She was born on October 20, 1918 in Columbia, Mississippi to the late Kate and Bruce Manton of Bassfield, MS.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Emery Franklin.Survivors include her brother, Joe B. Manton and his wife, Louise of Brandon, MS and her sister, Irene M. Vantrease of Brandon, MS; and ten nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to Leavell Woods United Methodist Church, Jackson, MS; or St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 400 Grants Ferry Rd., Brandon, MS; or St. Paul Catholic Church, 5971 Hwy 25, Flowood, MS.
