Albert Roberts, Jr.

Albert Fulton Roberts, Jr., age 95 of Pearl, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 1, 2022, 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Friday from 9:00 am until 9:45 am at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Funeral Services will be Friday, December 2, 2022, 10:00 am from Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Scott County, MS on December 7, 1926, to the late Albert Fulton Roberts, Sr. and Rosa Jane Duncan Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vara Miles Roberts,  sister Mary Alice Smith, second wife Mary Roland McCollum and, stepson John McCollum.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson, MS, a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, enjoyed writing, and was an accomplished author who published several books after he went blind.

He is survived by his son, Albert Victor Roberts (Estelle); daughter, Sue Ellen Roberts Tinsley (Charles); grandchildren; Michael Hilton and Matthew Hilton (Alex); stepdaughter-in-law, Rita McCollum; other relatives and friends.
