Virginia Jo Vinzant, 76, passed away on Fri. April 22, 2022 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held 11am until 12:45pm Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Graveside Services will follow 2pm Thursday at the Mississippi State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS.

Mrs. Vinzant was born on June 23, 1945 in Houston, MS to the late Byron Brooks Bishop and Eva Jewel Herring Bishop Luker.

She is survived by her husband, William Franklin Vinzant; two sons, William Franklin Vinzant Jr. and Byron Jason Vinzant (Stephanie); sister, Martha Gray; brother, Gary Bishop and seven grandchildren, Eli Vinzant, Nova Vinzant, Jason Vinzant, Zack Vinzant, Lala Vinzant, Hayden Vinzant and Raven Vinzant. Mrs. Vinzant is also preceded in death by her sister, Kay Smith.
