Timothy Dearman

December 28, 1968 — February 23, 2021

Brandon

Tim was born in Jackson, Mississippi on December 28, 1968 to Dale and Eleanor Dearman of Brandon, Mississippi.  A 1986 graduate of Brandon High School, he received his Bachelors in Engineering from Mississippi State in 1992.  In 2002 he married the love of his life, Ava Melissa Yates of Pearl.

Tim lived all of his life at his favorite place on earth, the family farm outside of Brandon.  He loved being outdoors with Melissa and spending time with his menagerie of animals, particularly his horses, Huskies, and birds. As often as he could, he would take time to visit his second favorite place on earth, State Line, Mississippi in Greene Country where the Dearman family roots run deep.

Tim loved his earthly family and often lamented that they did not spend enough time together.  If he could, he would encourage all of those reading this to make family a priority as time with them is fleeting.  He also loved his church family at Meadow Grove Baptist where he served as a deacon.  However, Tim’s greatest love in life was God.  He became a Christian as a young boy at Rock Hill Baptist Church and made spending time with God a priority.  How great must be his joy to now see Him, face to face!  Again, if Tim were able, he would encourage all of those reading this to make sure that you know God personally through a relationship with His Son, Jesus.  It would bring Tim no greater joy than to know his death had pointed someone to His Savior.

Tim is reunited in death with his parents, Dale and Eleanor Dearman.  He is survived by his wife, Melissa Yates Dearman, brother Mark (Linda) Dearman of Brandon, Mississippi; and sisters Diane (George) Hardin of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; Lynne (Joe) Wilson of Brandon, Mississippi; and Jill (Arnie) Pittman of Winona, MS.  He is also survived by four nieces and six nephews.  He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at Meadow Grove Baptist Church in Brandon on Saturday, February 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. with the funeral to follow.  Pastor Steve Wilson will conduct the service with Arnie Pittman, Luke Pittman, Matthew Pittman, Will Allen, Joe Wilson, and Chris Nelson serving as pall bearers.

Due to the desire to protect the health of those who attend, adequate spacing will be provided for those who attend.  Cards will be provided for anyone who wishes to leave the family a note of condolence.

Tim, age 52, will be laid to rest at Crestview Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meadow Grove Baptist Church or World Vision.
