Pearline Estes

Mrs. Pearline Johnson Estes was born in Louisville, Mississippi on April 17, 1934. She passed away at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at the age of 85.

A longtime resident of Forest for over 65 years, she and her late husband, Tom were members of Temple Baptist Church. Mrs. Estes was a retired employee of Dollar General Stores, where she served as store manager. An avid reader, who took pride in crocheting, sewing, and making flower arrangements, Mrs. Estes found contentment working in her yard and tending to her flowers.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Tom B. Estes; one daughter: Pamela Denise Estes; her parents: Joseph and Alma Wiley Johnson; one sister: Ruth Johnson Reed and one brother: Olan Johnson.

Survivors include two daughters: Brenda Vaughn and Cynthia Holley, both of Jackson; four grandchildren: T’A Fields, Andrew Holley, Amber Holley, and Austin Holley; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother: Doyle Johnson of Killen, AL.

The Estes family will gather to celebrate her life in the presence of immediate family members and close friends at a later date.
