Paul David Crawford, age 86, a resident of Ludlow passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  His visitation will be held 5-8pm Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Funeral service will be held 10am Friday from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in Ludlow Cemetery.  Bro. Jim Burns will officiate the services.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Crawford was born in Ludlow, MS on November 2, 1935.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #493 in Lena, MS. He was highly skilled and carried both titles once, Master Mason and the Deputy Grand Master.  Paul David was a Hamasa Shriner which is part of the Masonic Family. They support 22 Childrens Hospitals throughout North America.  Shriners provide this care free of charge to the patients.  He was also a Scottish Rites Mason which believes it seeks to enrich the philosophy of the Symbolic Lodge in order to help good men become even better. A member of the Scottish Rite seeks to: Aid mankind’s search for identity and destiny in God’s universe. Produce wiser men in a wiser world, happier men in a happier world, and therefore better men in a better world.  As you see Mr. Crawford was a good man with a good heart and wanted to help others.

He enjoyed Elk hunting, Bird hunting, roping and cutting horses and believed in doing things with his family to help better his kids.  He and his wife, Viola would take the kids to the riding pen on the weekends to spend quality time with them.  Paul David loved baseball and loved cheering for the Braves.   He loved his family very much and he will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John David Crawford and Edrie Gertrude McDonald Crawford; siblings, Joe Thomas Crawford, O.W. “Bubba” Crawford and Louise Weaver.

He is survived by his loving wife, Viola Babb Crawford of Lena; children, Jerry Grantham (Nancy) of Lena, Carolyn Trippe (Mike) of Lena and Steve Grantham of Lena; 10 grandchildren, Melissa Grantham, Scotty Grantham (Chrissie), Stephanie Bera (Dan), Greg Davis (Angel), Kristy Davis, Shelly Edwards (Chuck), Brandy Waltman (Chad), Brock Tripp (Tiffany), Beau Grantham and Landon Grantham (Stefanie); 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great, with one on the way; and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Greg Davis, Scotty Grantham, Beau Grantham, Landon Grantham, Dezmen Davis and Brock Tripp.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Ludlow Cemetery.
