Mary Z. Stewart, age 92, and a resident of Pulaski died Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
Visitation will be held from 1pm-2pm Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with a Graveside service to follow at the Trinity Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. Stewart was born on January 1, 1929, in Simpson County to her parents Anse Brown and Ollie Walker Brown. She was a member of Burns Baptist Church. She and her family-owned and operated a farm for many years. She loved the outdoors, visiting with family and friends. She also loved quilting and made multiple quilts for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After retiring, she worked in the office of the state forestry service in Raleigh and Forest. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, S.L. Stewart, two brothers, and one sister, Ola Mae Brown Harrington, George F Brown, and Marice Brown.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Nobles of Daphne, AL. 3 grandchildren; Carolyn Thomson (Michael), Stewart Nobles (Wynn), and Allen Nobles (Meg), and 7 grandchildren. She also is survived by 3 sisters, Della Yelverton, Helen Ray, and Hazel Minter. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
