Lottie Lodena Hollingsworth Waldrop (Mama Lo), age 100, wife of William Jasper Waldrop Jr. (Dub), passed away peacefully January 11, 2021. Mama Lo lived every instance of her life with intention and compassion for those around her. She was committed to caring for other people and did it with remarkable grace.  Mama Lo was always one of the first to arrive with food when you were sick, first to listen to you when you were sad, and the first to cheer you on in every circumstance. There is no doubt her passion for people was infectious and left an impact on the city of Morton, Mississippi throughout her life.  Services:  11am Friday, January 15, 2021  First Baptist Church - Morton.  sit: 9:30am till service time at First Baptist Church - Morton.  Interment will follow the service at Morton Memorial Gardens

Mama Lo valued family and was loved deeply by all family members. She most of all adored her grandchildren as she was the first to offer to babysit and always the one to be there before she was even needed. Mama Lo loved her family and brought them together on many occasions through Sunday lunch and holidays.

Mama Lo was anchored in the Lord and served her church in many different facets. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Morton and Eastern Star of Morton.  Mama Lo worked at the Scott County Hospital as office manager and accountant for most of her married life. After retirement, she was a substitute teacher at Morton’s Junior High School and Morton’s Senior High School.

Mama Lo’s children include: Susan Waldrop Riley, husband Ray Riley, William Michael Waldrop, wife Sondra Waldrop and Mark Stephen Waldrop, wife Dreama Waldrop. Grandchildren include Polly Riley Kellum, Ben Keith Brummett, William Dirk Waldrop, Jason Baugh Waldrop, Jacob Stephen Waldrop, William Joel Waldrop, Cody Mark Waldrop, Richard Michael Primer, Ryan Dwight Primer; brother, Jack Hollingsworth and wife Dot.  Not named: multiple great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
