Benny Neal Woods II, 53, a resident of Pelahatchie, MS, passed away on Tues. June 15, 2021 at his home in Pelahatchie, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. June 18, 2021 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and on Sat. June 19, 2021 from 9am-9:45am at Christ Congregational Church in Johns, MS. Funeral Services are 10am on Sat. June 19, 2021 at Christ Congregational Church with burial to follow at the Antioch Baptist Cemetery in Antioch, MS.

Mr. Woods was born on Sept. 8, 1967 in Jackson, MS. Neal was a graduate of Puckett High School in 1985. He participated in High School Rodeo in the Bareback and Bull Riding events. Neal then began his long prosperous career in the Oil Industry where he climbed the ladder to Offshore Installation Manager Position. He spent the majority of his career overseas in Nigeria and Brazil. Neal enjoyed spending time with family and cheering for his kids at sporting events. Some of Neal’s biggest joys in life were his grandkids.

He is survived by his three sons, Justin N. Woods (Maggie), Robert Kyle Woods (Ashley) and Clayton Lane Woods (Natalie); daughter, Taylor M. Woods; mother, Vetrice Winstead Woods; six grandchildren, Kinsley E. Woods, Walker A. Woods, Caden D. Lavery, Kylie M. Woods, Mylie Grace Woods and Dawson R. Woods; nephew, Cody Woods; former spouse, Robin Woods and his special friend, Pamela Polk. Mr. Woods is preceded in death by his father, Benny N. Woods Sr. and his brother, Jeffery Woods.
