Alberta "Bertie" Bugbee

Alberta “Bertie” F. Bugbee, age 86, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, at home with family by her side. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 11, 1935, to the late Alexander and Lila Miner Zalewski. She later moved to Utica NY where she graduated from Utica Free Academy. Alberta trained to be an X-Ray Technician under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Dickson and Dr. Slocum of the well-known and respected Slocum-Dickson Group in Utica, New York. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved crafts. She and her husband were active in the American Legion and Clinton Marching band.  Upon retiring to Florida, they enjoyed time with friends, travel, and golf. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond Bugbee; and son, David Bugbee. Alberta is survived by her children; Renee Brannick and Tracey (Bill Donavan) Bugbee; siblings, Terry (Bill) Lavier and Jimmy (Sandy) Zalewski; grandchildren, Sarah Bugbee, Nathan Bugbee, Brittany (Andrew) Mize, and Jack Brannick; great-grandchild, Lark Mize; dear friends, Dixie and Robert; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.You may share condolences at www.ottandlee.com.
