Virginia Ann Fitzhugh Mangum, 88, of Morton passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7th from 12-2pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest, Ms, with a chapel service following at 2pm. Graveside services will be held following the funeral at Sims Hill Cemetery. Bro. Reid Stevens and Bro. Gary Morris will officiate the funeral, and Bro. Jerry Holmes will officiate the graveside, under direction of Ott and Lee Forest. Pallbearers will be Lee Mangum, Jonathan Sawyer, Greg Mangum, Evan Mangum, Tyler Sawyer, Britton Sawyer, and Peyton Mangum

Virginia was born February 12, 1937 to Dennis Fitzhugh and Jesse Lee Henry Fitzhugh.

She was an employee of Lackey Memorial Hospital for most of her career. She retired as the Administrator of the Hospital. After realizing retirement was not for her, she enjoyed working at Lackey Home Center. She was an active member of Forest Baptist Church. She loved cooking, gardening, and cross stitching. She enjoyed sharing these talents with her friends as a member of the Morton Homemakers Club. She also enjoyed participating in Young at Heart and delivering meals to the needy with Meals on Wheels.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ray Mangum and her parents, Dennis and Jessie Lee Fitzhugh.

She is survived by her children: Steve Mangum (Gina), Stephanie Harrison (Larry), Vicki Dixon (Johnny); her grandchildren, Lee Mangum (Brandi), Jonathan Sawyer (Holly), Greg Mangum (Casey), Evan Mangum (Morgan), Tyler Sawyer (Aimee), and 11 great grandchildren that were her world.

We love you, Mimi! We will miss you greatly as will everyone who loves you.
