Mrs. Syble Faulkner, age 78 and a resident of the Blossom Hill community in Morton, MS, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Merit Wesley Hospital in Hattiesburg. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Friday, June 7, 2024, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest. Funeral services will be held 9:30am Saturday, June 8, 2024, from the Ott and Lee Chapel in Forest. There will be no graveside but burial will be in Faulkner Cemetery.
She grew up and was raised in Neshoba County, MS, but has been a life-long resident of Scott County, MS, being a homemaker, Devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. Her biggest joy in life was spending time with family and friends and working in her vegetable garden. She was a very honest, loving, humorous, and fun person. She loved her family with a passion. She will be remembered as someone who always speaks her truth, loved her kids, and stood steadfast for what she believed in.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bilbo Faulkner; parents, John M. Hodge and Lula Bell Davidson Hodge; sister, Ina Pearl Whittington; brothers, James Homer Hodge, Claude Kenneth Hodge, Acie Hodge, and John Stribling Hodge; son-in-law, Clint Craig.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Craig of Forest; sons, Danny Faulkner, Anthony Faulkner, and David Faulkner all of Morton; grandchildren, Tyler Faulkner, Noah Faulkner, Haleigh Faulkner, Emily Faulkner, Hunter Faulkner, Kerrigan Craig Cahoon, and Addyson Craig; great- grandchildren, Torryn Boykin and Harbor Boykin; host of nieces and nephews and friends.
