Sue Ann Boozer Miles, age 85, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026. Sue was born on June 21, 1940, and was raised in Pulaski, Mississippi. She was the beloved daughter of Carl David Boozer and Audrey Faye Hegwood.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert Jerry “Pete” Miles; her brother, Grady Carl Boozer; and her parents, Carl David Boozer and Audrey Faye Hegwood.
Sue spent many years in education and was a retired teacher from East Rankin Academy and Morton Junior High School. She truly cherished her time in the classroom and poured her heart into her students. Teaching was not just her profession, but one of her greatest joys, and she took pride in the countless young lives she influenced over the years. She was a faithful member of Pinelake Church, where her faith in God remained a steady foundation throughout her life.
Sue was a loving and steadfast mother to her daughters, Kara Ann Miles and Geri Miles Miskelly and her husband, Chip Miskelly. Her greatest pride and joy were her grandchildren: Miles Miskelly and his wife, Amy; Falon and her husband, Carter Cowman; London and her husband, William Robinson; and Charlsey and her fiancé, Tate Felder. She also leaves behind two precious great-grandchildren, Vivienne Leigh Miskelly and Sutton Celine Cowman, who brought immense light to her later years.
Sue treasured her growing family deeply and celebrated each milestone, big and small, with heartfelt joy. Sue found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved cooking for her family, working crossword puzzles, playing the piano, and tending to her yard. She had a natural eye for fashion and always took pride in looking polished. Sue will be remembered for her steady faith, her gracious spirit, and the enduring love she showed to her family and friends. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped as a teacher, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton is in charge of arrangements.
