Shaun Micheal Denton, a beloved native of Morton, Mississippi, passed away on May 15, 2026. Born on September 2, 1972, Shaun lived a life marked by quiet reflection and deep affection for the simple joys that brought him happiness.

A reserved and gentle soul, Shaun found comfort in the unassuming pleasures of life—most notably, watching football and fervently cheering for his cherished New Orleans Saints. His quiet nature belied the profound love he held for his family, especially his grandchildren, who he adored and cherished with all his heart.

Shaun was preceded in death by his devoted father, Ellis Monroe Denton, and his beloved wife, Tammy Hughes Denton, whose memory he carried with him always. His life was enriched and shaped by their lasting influence.

He leaves behind a close-knit circle of loved ones who mourn his passing deeply. Among those who survive him are his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Hudson of Morton; his only son, Micheal Denton, along with his wife, Whitney, also of Morton; and his brother, Tony Denton, accompanied by his wife, Lisa, residing in Morton. Shaun’s legacy of love shines brightest through his three grandchildren—Elaylah Measells, Bralynn Denton, and Leyton Denton—each of whom was truly the apple of his eye. In addition, a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends remember him fondly and carry forward his memory.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes - Morton, located at 3555 US-80, Morton, MS 39117. The memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m., concluding at noon, at the same location.
