Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 21, 2026 from 10am - 10:45am at Leesburg Baptist Church.

Service will be 11am Tuesday at Leesburg Baptist Church.

Samantha Jo Mulvihill Smith passed away peacefully at her home in Leesburg, Mississippi, on July 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and close friends. She was 39 years old. Samantha was born on January 5, 1987, in Flowood, Mississippi.

On March 14, 2009, Samantha married the love of her life, Nathan Weldon Smith. Together they shared 17 wonderful years of marriage after dating for five years. Nathan faithfully walked beside her through every step of her journey, holding her hand until her final breath as she entered her eternal resting place, free from pain and suffering.

Together, Samantha and Nathan were blessed with two children, Olivia (13) and Collin (9), who were the joy of her life. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a faithful friend. Samantha cherished every moment spent with her children, especially cheering them on at their sporting events.

Samantha never met a stranger. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed, loved, and valued. She found great joy in caring for others and building lasting friendships. Her love for the Lord was evident through her dedication to her church family, especially her passion for teaching Vacation Bible School.

During the final months of her life, Samantha was surrounded by an incredible outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and her church community. Their faithful care was a beautiful testimony to the many lives she had touched and to how deeply she was loved.

Samantha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Randell and Bernice Posey, and James Alvin Mulvihill.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Nathan Smith; her children, Olivia and Collin Smith; her parents, Michael and JoAnn Mulvihill; her brother, Matthew Collin Mulvihill (Sarah); her grandmother, Helen Louise Mulvihill Scanlan; her special family member, Stella McNeer; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will continue to live on in all who knew her.
