Obituary

Richard E. Warren, a dedicated and hardworking man, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, in Brandon, Mississippi. Born on April 12, 1951, in Jackson, Mississippi, Richard spent his early years growing up in the Shiloh community before graduating from Pelahatchie High School.

Ricky devoted his career to Yellow Freight, where he worked faithfully for 30 years as a dockman until his retirement in 1999. His commitment and work ethic were evident throughout his career, a testament to the values he held dear.

He was a family man who is survived by his loving wife, Alice Warren. Together, they shared many cherished moments. Ricky is also survived by five children, Tisha Maddox (Chris), Richie Warren, Chrystal Rayborn, Jennifer Toney (Wayne), and Robert Parman (Crystal); six grandchildren, Destiny Parman, Jonathan Maddox (Lacey), Brandon Kahn (Kerri), Carmon Rayborn, Madison Reinhart (Lukas), and Rylee Toney; sister, Sandra Franklin; four great-grandchildren, who brought joy and light to his later years; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George I. Warren and Myrtis Upton Warren. Richard was also preceded by his brothers, Bill Warren and Kenneth I. Warren, as well as his sister-in-law, Shirley Warren.

Richard E. Warren's life was one marked by dedication to his family and work. He will be remembered simply and respectfully by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love and commitment. His presence will be missed, but the memories he created with his family will continue to live on.
