Ray Clifford Martin, 71, of Jackson, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

Ray was born on December 8, 1954, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Guy Wilson Martin and Zell Thornton Martin. He spent most of his life in Clinton and served with dedication in the Air National Guard. He had a long career as a typesetter and pressman for several companies, and he found joy in working on his computer.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Martin; his children, Daniel Martin (Danielle) and Amy Martin. He also leaves behind his brothers, Guy Martin (Elizabeth), and Rev. Ken Martin (Tom), as well as his niece and nephews, Karen Smith, Paul C. Martin, and Beck Martin. Ray's legacy continues through his grandchild, Laikyn Barger.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Guy Wilson Martin and Zell Thornton.
