Ray Grafton, 84, a resident of Newton passed away on May 20, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family. Burial will take place at Antioch-Steele Baptist Church, and the Grafton family will hold a private graveside service in the cemetery on May 23, 2026 at 12:30pm.

Ray worked at Jackie Calhoun Mobile Homes for a large portion of his life, setting up manufactured homes and ensuring his customers were satisfied with their homes. He was an avid coin collector, and loved spending time with his friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Nora Grafton; and his loving wife, Shirley Grafton.

He is survived by his son, who cared for him up until the end of his life, Mack (Jessica) Grafton; four grandchildren, Autumn McGinty, Issac, Raymond, and Sami Grafton; and a great grandson, Zachary Davis.

Ray’s memory will live on through the loved ones he leaves behind.
