Patricia Allgood Culpepper, a long time resident of Magnolia, MS, passed unexpectedly at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 17th at 2pm, with the funeral service immediately following in the chapel at 3pm. Bro. Phil Smith will be officiating. Interment will be at Pine Ridge Missionary Church in Lawrence, MS.
Patricia was born July 24, 1945, to Frank Allgood and Sarah Ruth Wroten Allgood in Union, MS. Patsy graduated from Decatur High School. She worked multiple jobs before settling into retail work at Fred's Dollar Store in McComb, MS until she retired.
In 1963, Patsy married the love of her life, Jimmy Dale Culpepper. Together they shared 41 memorable years, before being separated by his death.
Patricia had a passion for reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was best known for her kindness, genuine loving spirit, and generous nature. She loved her children and grandchildren beyond all reason, even on the hard days. She was a dedicated member of Church of the Nazarene in Magnolia, MS which she attended until her passing. She loved with all her heart and gave freely of her time and smiles. Patsy's loss will not only be felt by the family that loved her, but also by numerous coworkers and past customers that enjoyed stopping for a chat while shopping.
She is preceded in death by her parents Frank Allgood and Sarah Ruth Pippin, her husband Jimmy Culpepper, one sister Rex Cater, one son in law Davis Leggett, and one granddaughter Diamond Leggett.
She is survived by her children: son Johnny Culpepper, son Michael Culpepper, daughter Rex Anne Leggett, and son Phil Smith (Carol), her beloved grandchildren: granddaughter Elena Culpepper (Dayja), grandson Davis Leggett, grandson Dominique Leggett (Eliana), grandson Justin Leggett, grandson Braeden Leggett, granddaughter Simone Leggett, great granddaughter A'Lani Leggett, one sister Betty Soper and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and a multitude of friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scotty White, Michael O'Bannon, Carson McConnell, Justin Leggett, Braeden Leggett.
