Otho R. Herrington

Otho R. Herrington, age 75, a lifelong resident of Lake died peacefully Sunday morning November 24, 2024, following a lengthy illness.

 Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from the Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church in Lawrence with interment to follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Everett and Bro. Victor Bugg will officiate. Visitation will also be held at the church from 10am till service time. OTT & LEE Funeral Home of Forest is honored to serve the Herrington family. 

 Otho was born on February 2, 1949, in Lauderdale County to his parents Redell Herrington and Vera Satcher Johnson. Otha was the owner and operator of a poultry farm since 2003, until he retired. He loved the farm life, raising cattle, and raising chickens. He was a member of Pine Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. He loved visiting with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 32 years, Mildred Bugg Herrington, step mother Marie Herrington, step father Henry Johnson, and a brother Doyle Herrington.

 Survivors include his daughter, Beth Herrington of Lawrence, step sister Debbie Morris (Wendell) of Lawrence, half brother Keith Herrington (Connie) of Lake, and friend of over 20 years, Nelda Tyree, as well as a host of friends.

 Pallbearers are Mark Hollingsworth, Mike Hines, Joe Williams, Justin Horn, Harlan Phillips, and Chris Thompson. 

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
