Norma Ree Quick, 86, of Brandon, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home on May 19, 2026.

Norma was born on March 29, 1940, in Smith County, Mississippi, to Lillie B. and Alvin R. Cook. She married the love of her life, William “Jimmy” Quick, in 1957, and together they shared a lifetime of love, devotion, and simple joys.

Mrs. Quick enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, and spending mornings sitting on the porch with Jimmy. She was known for her caring heart, gentle spirit, and deep love for her family. She was a very special lady who touched the lives of many through her kindness and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Louis Cook and Tom Cook; her sisters, Betty Cooksey, Wanda Smith, and Daisy Bishop; and her son, Lester Lynn Quick.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, William “Jimmy” Quick; her grandson, Ronnie Quick (Candice); her great-granddaughter, Rileigh Quick (Caid Thomas), Tonya Quick; her sister, Linda Bowman; along with many other loving family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with loved ones gone before her.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Friday, May 22, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon.
