Morgon Lee Evans, 14, of Taylorsville, MS tragically passed away on October 29th, 2026 at his home.

A second visitation will take place Tuesday, November 10th from 12:00-1:00pm, with the funeral following in the Ott and Lee Chapel. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Pulaski, Ms, where Morgon will be laid to rest beside his grandparents.
Morgon loved animals and enjoyed spending time helping with the cows, as well as fishing and playing football. He was a true mama’s boy who loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his brothers. Although he and his brothers might fuss and fight among themselves, he made it clear that nobody else was allowed to pick on them. He also had a heart for others and was never shy about inviting his friends to church, especially if he knew they didn't have a church family of their own. Whether spending time with his family, helping on the farm, or simply being with his friends, he brought a special kind of love and personality to the lives of those around him.
Morgon is preceded in death by his brother, Virgil Evans; Grandfather, Carl Simpson; Paternal great grandparents, Perry and Frances Simpson; Step-grandfather, James Harris; Maternal great grandparents, Robert Grantham and Betty Criddle; aunts, Casey Wilkerson, Elma Sue Jolly, and Robbie Kennedy (John.)
Those left to cherish his memory include his mother and stepfather, Patricia and David Harris; Father and stepmother, Jessie and Jennifer Evans; Maternal grandmother, Linda "Jody" Simpson; Paternal grandfather, Jerry Evans; Step grandmother, Lynn Harris; Brothers, Wyatt and Bentley Evans, Brandon Harris; sister, Traci Stewart (Hunter); Aunts, Tiffany Simpson (Chris), Heather Simpson, Michelle Grace (Wayne); uncle, Snapper Grantham; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the family's GoFundMe, all proceeds go directly to David and Patricia to help them rebuild their lives after not only losing their son, but also losing their home.
