Lynda was born on July 27, 1948, to Lee Edmond and Mildred Sims. She lived a life defined by love, faith, and devotion to her family. For many years, she devoted herself to caring for her husband, Bob, until his passing in 2010. After his passing, she faced many health struggles of her own. Through it all her faith remained an important part of her life.
If you knew Lynda, you knew she had a tremendous love for Jesus. She loved sharing the love of Christ with everyone she met and never missed an opportunity to tell others about Him. Her relationship with Jesus was at the center of who she was and that faith was a lasting part of her legacy.
Lynda spent her working life serving others as office administrator for William B Jones in Greenwood and later for Mississippi, Ear, Nose and Throat in Jackson.
Her greatest earthly treasures were her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She leaves behind her son, Lee Smith (Jenni) and daughter Kim Williamson (Anthony) along with five grandchildren, Laney, Haley, Ford, Millie, and Moses who brought her so much joy. She is also survived by one sister, Betty Sansing and two brothers, Teddy Sims and Jackie Sims, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mildred Sims; husband, Robert "Bob" Henry Smith; sister, Lanier Green; and brother, Bobby Sims.
Though her family will miss her deeply, they find comfort in knowing that her struggles are over, she is reunited with Bob and she is finally home with the Savior she loved so much.
